Seattle Women's March 2.0

  • Cal Anderson Park 1635 11th Avenue Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Join us to rally in celebration of the one year anniversary of the historic Women's March.  The Seattle event will commence at 10am at Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill.  There will be a program of speakers followed by a march.  We will be marching with our 500 Women Scientists banner.  (Help us carry it?)  If you like, you can wear a lab coat, or a purple flower crown, or anything else that signifies why you are marching with our group.  Anyone is welcome to march with us, members and non-members alike.  You can find us before the rally from 9:30am - 10am at the volcano statue at the north end of Cal Anderson.  After that, just look for us in the crowd with our banner and flower crowns.

From the organizers:  "We are proud to present POWER TO THE POLLS by the Women’s March on Washington. In Seattle, the March will kickoff WOMXN ACT ON SEATTLE, the anniversary weekend from the Womxn’s March on Seattle.  Womxn Act on Seattle will include a series of trainings, lectures, panels, film screenings, food drives and more at hubs around the city all day long. The March is also the starting point for one of the state’s largest single-day regional voter registration and mobilization effort in history, led by Seattle Indivisible and Indivisible Eastside in partnership with Seattle Womxn Marching Forward."  Stay up to date at http://www.seattlewomxnmarchingforward.org/
